Sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about Hazrat Fatima (sa)

Hazrat Fatima (SA), the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet of Islam, was born in Mecca on the 20th of Jumadi al-Thani, 18 BH. She received immense love, care, and devotion from her noble parents, the esteemed Lady Khadijah and the Apostle of Allah. Growing up, Hazrat Fatima (SA) was deeply attached to her parents and cherished her time with them.

Her upbringing took place in the blessed environment of her father Muhammad’s (PBUH) prophetic teachings, and under the nurturing care of her mother Khadijah (RA). From a young age, she witnessed her father’s trials and tribulations and stood by his side, offering her unwavering support.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) placed great emphasis on Fatima’s education and upbringing. Just as he was the paragon of virtue for all men, Fatima became the epitome of womanhood in Islam. She embodied devotion and obedience to the Creator, radiating heavenly purity and saintliness. Her character and personality mirrored her father’s, resembling him in the most striking manner. Hazrat Fatima (SA), the daughter, reflected the image of Muhammad, the father.

Recognized as Az-Zahra’, meaning the radiant and glowing one, Hazrat Fatima (SA) also earned the title of Umm Abiha, the mother of her father, for her tender care and concern towards Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), particularly after the passing of her mother.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sayings about Hazrat Zahra (SA)

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Fatima is part of me. Whatever upsets her upsets me, and whatever harms her harms me.”

The Holy Prophet said, “Whoever injures (bodily or sentimentally) Fatima, injures me; and whoever injures me injures Allah; and whoever injures Allah practices unbelief. O, Fatima! If your wrath is incurred, it incurs the wrath of Allah; and if you are happy, it makes Allah happy too.”

The Holy Prophet said, “Fatima is a peace of my heart”.

Every morning on his way to the Mosque, he would pass by Fatima’s house and say: “peace be on you O the Household of Prophethood and the source of Messengership”.
